Day 02 - Bentota > Unawatuna
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your coastal journey towards Unawatuna. Along the way, enjoy an unforgettable Madu River boat safari in Balapitiya cruise through a lush mangrove ecosystem, visit small islands, and experience the serenity of nature and local life on the riverbanks.
After the safari, continue your scenic drive along the southern coastline, passing picturesque beaches and charming fishing villages. Upon arrival in Unawatuna, check in to your hotel and relax by the palm-fringed shores.

Day 03 - Unwatuna Beach
Depart from Sigiriya and head towards Pinnawala, home to the famous elephant sanctuary. Day 04 - Unawatuna > Weligama
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and continue your journey along Sri Lanka’s southern coastline to the laid-back surf town of Weligama. Enjoy the scenic drive as you pass coconut-lined beaches and charming coastal villages.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax by the beach. Weligama is known for its wide sandy bay, gentle waves, and iconic stilt fishermen. Spend the rest of the day at leisure—try beginner-friendly surfing, explore the local cafés, or simply unwind by the sea.

Day 05 - Weligama > Mirissa
After a relaxed morning in Weligama, check out and take a short scenic drive to Mirissa, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic beach destinations. This brief journey keeps you close to the coastline, offering beautiful views of the ocean along the way.
Upon arrival in Mirissa, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach. Swim in the clear blue waters, unwind under the sun, or sip a fresh coconut as the waves roll in. As evening falls, don’t miss the stunning sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 06 - Explore Mirissa
After breakfast, embark on an early morning whale watching tour from Mirissa Harbour. The tours usually start between 6:00 and 7:00 AM and offer the opportunity to see blue whales, sperm whales, humpback whales, and dolphins. The best time for whale watching is from November to April, with the peak being around March and April. Tours typically last 3 to 5 hours, depending on sea conditions and sightings.
Return to Mirissa and spend the afternoon relaxing at Mirissa Beach. The crescent-shaped shoreline, golden sands, and clear waters make it perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Beginners can also try surfing here, with surf schools nearby. Later in the day, you can walk to Coconut Tree Hill to enjoy a stunning sunset.

After breakfast, depart from Mirissa and head to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure. The drive covers approximately 65 km and typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic.
